Realize that it is normal. Even A-list actors have grappled with self-doubt. During your cybersecurity journey, you may be tortured with thoughts of “This isn’t going to happen for me”, “I am not the kind of person for this”, “I am too old”, ‘I am too young”, “I don’t have a college degree”, “I don’t have the right college degree”, or “I can’t do this because the industry is male-dominated”.
Realize that this is a mechanism from the ancient days of humanity, trying to keep us safe. But the reality is, there are millions of crossovers in IT who are kicking ass, earning great money. There is no reason you cannot be one of them!!
